Zinc Cafe & Market
Without a doubt, this is my favorite avocado toast in town - it is buttered toast with smashed avocado, lemon juice, radish salad, chives, onion and dill - and I add a poached egg. Zinc is my favorite spot in Orange County to meet up for breakfast with friends. However, I stop by Zinc more regularly on the weekends when I am out-and-about running errands to create my own to-go plate of veggies and salads from their marketplace salad bar and then usually come home and add some chicken on top. Zinc also has some of my favorite hummus (in addition to Majestic Garlic’s hummus and Mother’s Market’s housemade hummus) - and if I am here I will always pick up hummus to-go. There are so many reasons I love Zinc, but the last reason I will give ya is that it’s more than a café - they have the cutest kitchen knick knacks, cookbooks and gifts. Whenever I need a gift for a housewarming party or the birthday of a foodie friend, I come to Zinc - but I never ever leave without either the avocado toast or lunch from the salad bar.
