Malibu Farm Lido

This place is my spot. The food. The drinks. The view. The vibe. The AlecTreffs x Malibu Farms special. Everything about Malibu Farm Lido is what I want out of restaurant. If you are here for brunch and are craving more of the breakfast side of brunch - I am a big fan of the green eggs and ham with broccoli scrambled eggs, spinach, ricotta, bacon, toast and crispy baby potatoes. If you are looking for something on the lunch side of brunch, I really like the chicken ricotta bacon burger with a brioche bun, heirloom tomato, red onion and an aioli that has a bit of a kick to it. My go-to order for lunch is the vegan chopped salad with kale, romaine, butternut squash, beets, avocado, garbanzo beans and a red wine vinaigrette, and I add seared salmon. I usually go with this lighter salad because I go to town on starters at Malibu Farm Lido, particularly the chicken and broccoli quesadilla made with a whole wheat tortilla, heirloom tomatoes, green onions and broccoli florets, the newport nachos and the cauliflower crust pizza with an arugula basil pesto, heirloom tomatoes, mozzarella, wild arugula and lemon vinaigrette. Definitely add steak to both the nachos and the cauliflower crust pizza. For dinner, if you are a fan of octopus, the chefs at Malibu Farm have perfected their octopus dish. It comes with poblano chimmichuri, oven roasted potatoes and a brussel sprout salad.

And for the drinks - I am a sucker for a good margarita and they use nothing but the best to whip up theirs. I do ask them to go light on the agave though. Now, if you want me to just make it easy for you - go with the AlecTreffs x Malibu Farm special which is an order of the newport steak nachos and a BOGO deal on a skinny margarita (so you get 2 for the price of 1).
