holiday margarita

If I am going to have a cocktail - 9 times out of 10 it’s a skinny marg. Not a spicy skinny marg - because I am a baby back B word when it comes to spice, but a simple, preferably-muddled-with-limes skinny marg. A good skinny marg doesn’t need more ingredients in it that you can count on one hand, in my opinion. During the summer months, my 3-ingredient Coconut Margarita has my heart. When the winter months roll around and Healthade releases their seasonal ‘Holiday Cheer’ kombucha, this Holiday Margarita is what’s getting poured.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz tequila

  • 2 oz Healthade Holiday Cheer kombucha

  • 1 oz ginger juice

  • 1 lime, juiced

  • Candied ginger for a garnish that makes it fancy as hell

Instructions:

I am in the camp that you pour tequila first when making a margarita, then I follow that by pouring the kombucha, the ginger juice and the freshly squeezed lime juice.

Tip: throw 1-2 pieces of candied ginger into the drink (they taste amazing when you get to the bottom of your drink), and also garnish the margarita by sliding one through a metal straw.
