Mother's Market Kitchen
Mother’s Market may just look like (the best) healthy food grocery store on the outside, but it’s one of my favorite breakfast and lunch spots too. If you are an Acai or pitaya bowl fan, you’ll definitely want to see how these two stack up to your favorites. I love that there is the option to add collagen, protein (your choice of hemp, rice or whey), or echinacea for when i am feeling a cold coming on, plus so many topping options. Their hot food bar is my go-to over whole food’s, as they cook their veggies in olive oil vs canola oil. Their garlic tahini kale salad behind the counter is also my kryptonite. Mother’s has my favorite rotisserie chicken - when i get rotisserie chickens elsewhere they are always dry, but that’s never the case at mother’s. Their café is a secret that more people need to know about too. They have killer specials every month - like for breakfast one month, they offered 2 vegan and gluten free pancakes with a cup of fresh fruit and organic coffee for $4.99. Like, are you kidding? That is fast food pricing, you guys. For lunch, if I am not snagging the brussel sprouts and rotisserie chicken from the hot bar, or the garlic tahini kale salad and housemade beet or cilantro jalapeño hummus from the cold counter - I like to place a to-go order from the café and either go with the living hummus wrap with tomato, avocado, sprouted garlic hummus and sprouts (and if I am taking it home, I open it up and add the store’s rotisserie chicken). Or, I go with the wild and free bowl with organic miso rice, sustainable salmon, kale and avocado.
